A Mancunian born in Oregon…

In 5 years, 21 year old Nyah Grace has achieved more than many people twice her age. Born in rural Oregon, a young black girl in a sea of white Evangelical hamlets, Nyah found music was her escape.

Nyah made her first trip to the UK at age 15, writing and co-writing with multiple A list collaborators. Nyah was propelled to work with Grammy nominee Steve Chrisanthou (Corinne Bailey Ray) and Michael Graves (Desree) launching her acclaimed album ‘Honey-Coloured’.

Nyah upped sticks and relocated to Manchester. I suddenly found I was at home in the UK. It had a pulse that I connected with, so I moved there to finish school and base myself in the musical groove that is everywhere in that buzzing city and I love it.

Nyah is releasing her first new material in four years with the song ‘More’ coming in late April, and is now rehearsing with her new band, getting ready to tour in the UK and, perhaps even China…
